The Great Outdoors

Hello Furiends! Thanks so much for stopping by today.- It was great meeting many of you over the weekend! Did you know that if you link an e-mail address to your profile (and click "show e-mail address") that I can respond to you and your comments via e-mail? Well I can! And I'd love to, but most of you have no e-mail address linked to your profile. :-( So I haven't been able to comment back...*drooping tale* ...run and get your humans to fix that little problem tickety boo and all will be well!

Now onto my post for the day: I don't know about where you live, but where I live it's getting PERFECT outside (or puuurrrrfect - as The Queen says). Perfect for walking, for sniffing, for taking a really long time to go potty so I can stay out longer to enjoy the fresh air! It's great. Plus I'm a little cabin-feverish these days because ma hasn't let me out much for fun this summer because of the fwees (ma calls fleas "fwees" because she says it makes them sound cuter instead of the wretched awfulness that they are). She said it's been a really bad fwee year, and she got tired of me coming in with some when I would have a blitz around the yard...so no yard blitzing for me for months. It's been ruff...

BUT, (light at the end of the tunnel), ma's been letting us out with her a bit more lately. Not to blitz around the yard yet, but the other day we spent the afternoon down on the swing bed under the Ironwood with her, and we had  blast! So much to smell, and neighbor dogs to bark at. We mostly fought over each others bonies though. I like Caroline's and she likes mine - I don't know why ma doesn't just "get it" and switch in the first place!

So where is your favorite place to hang out in your yard??

Sounds like a good day!

Rugby doesn't have a yard, but if he did, I am sure he would pick the muddiest, dirrtiest place to hang out. :p

I give Rugby these Flea Treat things to keep the fleas and the ticks away. He loves them and starts dancing twice a day so I don't forget to give them to him. ;)

Maybe you can spend more time in the yard if you mom got them for you?

I haven't seen any fleas here....I think they froze when Mr. Jack Frost came to visit awhile back.... I hope you get to go outside soon....

I'm glad your getting to spend more time outdoors!

I like to sit by my patio and watch the world go by. I am protecting my turf from any possible intruders.

We're pretty lucky, we don't really have to worry about fleas where I live. I'm not sure why but they don't seem to like it here.

I'm glad you were able to get out and about a bit. My two chi's just love being outside when the weather's nice.

I really need to set up an email specifically pertaining to my blog. Once I do that, I'll add it to my profile. In the mean time, you can always email here if you want to:

Oh, the fleas have been awful here this year. We're on every treatment that we can be and we still get some.

Chester, I couldn't understand why your posts weren't showing up in my Google reader and now I see I wasn't following you. I could have sworn I was, but that's fixed now anyway and now I am for sure.

lotsa licks, Lola

Hi Chester
If I had a swing like you, then I would hang out in that.,
I like to go down to the pond and watch the frogs jump. Its very peaceful. Then off I go into my forest.
Gee , did anyone tell you how cute you are?

Hasn't it been beautiful here this weekend. Our Peeps took a little trip down the Parkway (without us - can you believe it!!) and loved every minute of it.

Our yard isn't fenced, alas, but Katya likes to spend the beautiful Fall afternoon on her long tether in the back. She's got enough run that he can go under the deck to escape the sun, root around in the compost pile, even dig up the garden a little.

Sometimes she plunks herself down in the herb beds and comes in smelling of basil and dill—but she's got to be careful, because the cats like to hide out there too, stalking through the overgrown cherry tomatoes like tigers prowling in the jungle.
